About us · Est. 1963
That’s how Prairie Heritage started. Sixty-three years on, we still do exactly what the founders intended: bank with people who couldn’t get banked any other way.

— Our four values —
01
Every member holds a $5 share with one vote, regardless of deposit size. The director who decides what we sponsor was elected by you.
02
After operating costs and reserves, what’s left is returned as patronage. We don’t pay external shareholders, because we don’t have any.
03
Loan, mortgage, and sponsorship decisions are made at the branch level — by the people who shop at the same grocery store you do.
04
We’re regulated by SK / AB / MB, not the federal OSFI. That gives us flexibility on stress-test rules and qualification — flexibility we use to approve more members.
